WELCOME to our February 2022 edition of The Bridge. Happy New Year.

As we begin this new year in anticipation of moving forward from two years of COVID reality, this issue of The Bridge refreshes some ongoing, and explores some new, ways of evangelising in today’s world. We are reminded of Caritas’ enduring evangelising mission during Lent and also begin a three-part series on how parishes can reinvigorate their RCIA programs. We hear the story of the Morisset parish’s journey to lay leadership and highlight the new international Laudato Si' platform sharing resources from around the globe in caring for our common home. Finally, we share the impact of how an art competition has evangelised children and families in dioceses across New South Wales and how sport can be used as a platform for witness and empowering young people.

The NCE team is looking forward to an exciting year with significant initiatives planned to share our Australian evangelisation stories.

Every blessing,

Malcolm Hart
Director, National Centre for Evangelisation
