Although hosted in Perth, ACYF 2019 was a celebration of the Church in Western Australia (Bunbury, Perth, Geraldton and Broome) as this exciting event became more accessible to the west coast. With over 6,000 attendees, the event was hosted at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a short pilgrimage walk leading to a public Mass celebrated at Trinity College. Linked to the Plenary Council, the spiritual theme of the Festival was ‘Listen to what the Spirit is saying', and included official consultations with young people.
